Default SHOCKWAVE

very newbie here so please excuse my dumbness. got a shockwave (love it), but findin parts is pretty hard. do i have to use a redcat spur gear, or is something else compatible? i'm not very educated about this stuff yet (had it 2 weeks and it's kinda learn as i go). are any other parts interchangable without too much fab work? nicer wheels would be cool, but i have no idea what fits and what doesn't. we don't have any shops within about 100 miles so face to face help isn't really an option. thanx for any help.

Make sure if you get suspension parts for it, make sure it is for the shockwave and not the tornado bb

the shockwave and the tornado are basically the same thing, just different engines and trannies. you can use exceed and himoto parts also.

oh and different suspensions.

xraycer71 to answer your question.

There is a complicated equation to this: 6 times 4, divide by 4, add 100, divide by 2, minus 1, divide by 2, minus 2, divide by 2 and minus 2 for shrinkage

awesome......i'll order that this weekend. now to another subject......wheels and tires. i do most of my runnin on pavement and managed to burn through a set of rear tires already (yeah, i'm a donut fan). i got a new set of tires and the chromie redcat wheels, but they look about as flimsy as the stockers........what i was wonderin is what kind of more streetable tires are available for the shockwave.........and if maybe somebody might make an aluminum wheel upgrade for it? i figure a metal wheel will weigh more and slow me down a little, but better durability would be worth it.
