I am considering buying a 1/5 scale Redcat gasser after they come out. I have never owned or seen a Redcat vehicle, and I was wondering how they compare to the bigger name brands in quality?

I just bought the 1/10 scale Volcanoe SV Pro. I think all of the alluminum upgrades were a mistake and all I did was move the breaking points around to more troublesome spots. However, I am really satisfied with my Redcat and would recommend them to anyone wanting a tough, durable R/C at a reasonable price. It''s hard to get parts for at a local hobbie shop, if not impossible, but they are an Arizona based company and I have found that they are great to deal with over the internet, and parts are readily available through Redcat Racing @ redcatracing.com.[sm=thumbs_up.gif]

i love redcat, if i had say a 1000 dollars to spend on any rc i would buy a redcat or two and suup them up, i wouldnt buy a name brand, its like buying a lambo, not worth 200k (at least) when you can get a corvette for 70k that will do the same thing

Redcats are strong I smashed mine several times My monsoon twice and once was into a tree this past weekend at near full speed, and I broke nothing.

Got a Volcano Sv 1/10 scale as a present. They are a good starter rc. Not a lot of money.
Good quality. Lots of parts online if you know where to look.[8D]

Thanks for the replies. I got into 1/5 scale last summer with a Smartech Spider, and now I want a 4 wheel drive gasser. Im glad Redcat is coming out with their new 1/5 scale vehicles because I can aford one after I ebay a few things.
