Default High and low speed needle settings

Hi all

I hope someone can help me here. I have the Redcat Earthquake and was wondering what the high and low speed needle settings approximately are when the car is properly run-in? My car is run-in but my high speed needle setting is about 3 turns from out and my low speed setting is about 4 turns from out, does this sound correct? I can't get the car to run at any other setting besides these so i'm presuming that this is the correct settings for the motor, but then i read that normal settings for car engines is about 1 - 2 turns for the high speed needle and about 1 turn for the low speed needle. Are the engines on these cars different from other engines?

I have done the pinch test for the low end and it seems correct. Also the temperature of the car is fine. One thing to note is that i did find an air leak between the carb and the motor but i fixed that with high temperature gasket sealant.

So basically i'm interested to know what your settings are when you have completed the break in procedure?

Thanx for the help!

try 2 1/2 turns from all in on the high and 3 1/2 turns from all in on the low...also make sure you idle is set at 1 mm open by looking down into the carb (you need your radio system turned on to do this)...this should get you running

3 and 3 is a good starting point on the earthquake.
