Default Steering Servo hit Steering linkage

i posted a forum a while back concerning my Avalanche steering Servo hitting the steering linkage after i installed the Hitec Servo. i remember seeing a post where the person turned the steering knuck as well as the servo arm to the outside of the truck body for better steering repsonse. can anyone tell me if they know what post i am referrring to or if there is a solution to my problem without sacrificing turning radius?
