Hey guys i have 2 sh.18 one is brand new in the box the other one about month old with a week old carb, both of the carbs are locking up this is my 3rd carb that has locked up! the sh.18 brand new haven't takin it out of the box the carb was nice and loose just like the one i order from yall about 2 weeks ago, with end 5 tanks more or less i have had 2 carb lock up they still move but there not loose enough for the servo to move them? i dunno what else to do!! i have adjusted the servo i have replaced the carb once all ready and they still just keep locking up, thats 24.99 a carb this is my 3rd one!! i also talked to mike about my lightning about the idle screw not working!! the lightning was brand new not even 2 tanks of gas threw it, i worked with it for about 30 mins and got it working but now its doing the same as the sh.18 carbs its not as tight as the sh.18, all in a summary so when i adjust the servo and i adjust the carb the thottle still sticks and runs high rpm intill i press my brake on all 3 of my redcats the lightning and my 2 volcanos

Justin : the only things that oculd make the carburetor stick are : dirt or lack of oil. It's possible your fuel may be bad.. sitting in the sun, or heat is bad for fuel. If thats not the case its possible something got in there. Take the carb apart, clean it and put it back together with a little after run oil or 3in1 oil.
If both of these are not the case, its possible the tension on your throttle return spring isnt set right. If you move the collet forward to increase the tension of your spring, it may help with closing the carb when you go back to neutral.

i have tried to move the spring forward about far as it can go and on the sh.18 will the carb break all the way down like the .16 on the lightning i have cleaned both carbs the lightning is better than the sh.18 but just seems to be still hard for it to move

you can pull the sleeve out of the carburetor, have you gotten it that far apart? You may need to spray it out with some electric motor cleaner, or brake cleaner before oiling it.

For all the money you have spent on these carbs you could of bought a better motor.Throw them motors away and look on fleabay for a hpi 15or18 much better motors than the sh or vx.I have had both and both are nothing but problems.
