does any one else go through drive cups like water? im currently looking for other drive cups that last longer then rc drive cups. i run mine til they start snapping dog bones. then i change em. but like i said they dont last long, my last run with mine wore them out pretty fast. one good day of runnin in the backyard. there cheap but starting to be a pain.when i run into some that will work ill post it. unless some one beats me to it. i was just wondering if any one else has this problem.

You can swap the left and right cups, which will put the load onto the other side of the little cutouts (possibly easier to swap the whole front and rear diffs which I think will achieve the same thing).
Otherwise, [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7433522/tm.htm]You could convert to Traxxas sliding shafts[/link]. I did this because I couldn't find dogbones of the correct size for other mods I had done.

no its the cups from the tranny to diffs front and rear. they get worn by getting notched out from the dog bone. yeah i got a bb. when the drive cups get worn to bad they snap the head of the done bone off cause they get caught in the worn spot and cant move around.to get the most out of them ive been putting little bit of gas line in the cup so the dogbone doest get caught in the notched out spots. good temp. fix anyways. the last set ive probably got 10-12 runs on em. so ill need to be replacing them pretty soon. i dont know maybe i just need to take it a little easier on it. i recently had the owb in the tranny crap out on me witch was a little odd. the tranny wasnt that old. i was gonna try some hpi drive cups to see if that helped. we'll see.

You can probably do the universal shaft trick on those dogbones too, provided there's enough space. You just need the yokes and the sliding shafts. Probably just dremel down one yoke for the brake disc and you'll be right.

no, no roll backs. bashing in the backyard is enough to do it, but i do have my moments like blowing donuts on the hard top with it(i know thats no the greatest for it). ive just got the vx .18 in it. its an ok motor. but im going to be upgrading to a better engine. thanks for the info el tonto ill check into that.
