Default Tornado BB Problem

I just got a tornado bb 2 days ago, and I'm new to nitro r/c. Here's the problem, I get the car running but after about two minutes of running the engine will just shut off. And it doesn't slowly shut off, it is just instantly. And i can still just start it up again and it does the same thing. I dont know if it is running too hot cause i dont have a temperature gun.

You can check the temps by doing the spit test. Drop some spit on the cooling head and see if it sizzles off like bacon if it does then it's deffinatly running too hot. It should just kind of simmer or off slowly in about 5 seconds or so. THat will give you a good idea if it's running too hot. It could also be something as simple as the idle screw needs to be tweeked alittle. As the engine breaks in the idle will change and it will start dying when you hit the brake, give the idle screw a small tweek and then give the HSP screw a small tweek lean and run it around see how it runs. Tuning takes some practice and the only way to learn it is to take the dive and do it.

its not running hot, and i checked and made sure that when the brake is applied that the idle is still open, and it is. And yes there is blue smoke when it is accelerating to a high speed. But is there a possibility that it is the glow igniter not getting the glow plug hot enough? I charged the igniter overnight and today it ran for 10 minutes and then it shut off, so it did run longer today but it still is shutting off.

No the glow ignitor is only temporary to light up the glow plug so you can start it once it's started you take the glow ignitor off.

You did the spit test after you ran a couple of high speed runs?
