Are there any tips for rewinding the pull start string after it breaks? The spring is still in the enclosure but I can't figure out how to reattach it to the spool with the string on it. Any tips are appreciated.

I don't know of any other way to put the string back in without taking the spool out. Just watch the spring it will take off on you. I've had mind apart many times and got it together easily. The first times the worst for sure.

Glad you got it back together. Like I mention earlier the first time is the worst. Now pull cord repair will be a joke to fix.
