The universals replace the dogbones from the diff's to the wheels. They give you more torque over dogbones

well i thought it said only two in the package wouldnt you need four then?

You really only need the front 2 for performance. The only gain you get from the back is not loosing dog bones in a crash. There might be a little performance but nothing you would notice.
