So i totally melted my old stock electric motor. I was gonna get a fireball but i ended up just gettin another stock one. Im not sure if i wanna sell it. I was just gonna throw the new one in and sell it, need the cash and its just not as fast as nitro stock, and i dont wanna dump a bunch of cash into it to make it faster. So i got a new stock motor, and i was readin online about breaking in electric brushed motors. So i just went ahead and did it. hooked it up to some c cell batteries and ran it in some rubbing alcohol. Breaking it in makes the commutator contact the brushes more and gives it more power. I ended up breaking one of the front dog bones before i blew the other motor. So i threw the new one in and was running rwd. Man that thing rips. Throws dirt really good. And gets power on pavement but its super fun sliding it around and stuff. It seems like it has more power, i wasnt sure if it was because it was rwd or not so i thew another dog bone it. And im pretty sure it has more power than before. Im runnin a 6 cell 3800 mah tenergy battery. It has more wheel slip from the power, i can slide it around more in the dirt, it seemed like with the old motor it couldnt throw a grain of dirt. And in grass it would barely run before, but now it just shoots across the grass. So i will deff do break ins on any electric motor i get again. So now im debating on if i wanna keep it haha. Its nice so my gf can drive it and doesnt have to deal with the nitros, and its plug and play if i didnt wanna pull out all my stuff for nitros. But anyways i thought i would throw out the electric break in for anybody who get a new motor.

I have heard about running them in a cup of water, and then oiling the bearings after. But never heard of running them in flammable liquids. [:@]

Well it said you can do water, but the rubbing alcohol helps to clean it out more, it wasnt a problem at all, just make sure you dont get sparks haha. But i was checkin out in the rubbing alcohol and there were tiny pieces, so i know it worked somewhat at least.
