old gas?

Default old gas?

i was trying to get my buggy to run today but it wouldnt
i was using gas that has been in a fuel bottle (not in the jug) for a week could that be the problem?
also i was using a drill with a one way bearing on the end of the shaft to start it does this work this is the first time ive tried it
please help i would like to drive my car this weekend

no, fuel of that age should not make a difference. is your glow ignitor fully charged ? is your glow plug lighting up ?
pull the glow plug out and plug it into the end of your ignitor to make sure it glows.

have you ran this buggy before ?
it's possible that the carb setting could be that the carb settings are set too rich and the engine could be getting too much fuel.
is your idle set ?

i have ran the buggy before
i checked the glow plug it is good
no my carberetor is not set
i took apart my carb after i last ran it cuz i turned out the idle screw too far. could i have messed up my carb?

i think it might be too cold outside
it is 25 degrees farenheit

the temp will not stop it from running, just get the carb back to the factory settings

alright i got it set to factory settings but now i cant figure out how to tune it
it will run good at low speed but when i get it up in speed it will start to bog down so i let it idle for a bit then it runs good again
do i need to lean or richen the high speed needle?

Put your hsn at 2/5-3 turns out, and then turn in 1/8th increments to tune it. Power should get better and better till it starts to cut out at full rpm

allright ill try that as soon as i get my clutch fixed
this car is always broken lol but i got to drive it for a while today
