Does anyone know off hand if the .18 CXP is the same thing as the .18 VX? That is the way it looks to me, but a different cooling head... I am just trying to decide if I should spend the $35 to upgrade the .16 vx for my Lightning? I will still probably send the .16 in for EEP, but it never hurts to have a spare.

OK, thanks, I assume this is just a generic image then? http://www.hobbypartz.com/18enfor1scrc.html
the one I was looking at has a different styled head, but otherwise looked similar, thought maybe they just rebrand them.

Anyone have experience with the CXP? Good/Bad?

OK, I will go ahead with the ERP. I just thought $35 sounded like a good deal for a spare engine. I feel bad sending in the .16 though. It has been a great engine, I just like power too much.
Will the .18 SH have more top end, or will it be mostly low end/torque? Just curious, because as is, the .16 destroys tires off the line. Plenty of low end.

Both, this guy swapped from the vx 16 to the sh 18 in his beginner buggy and he said it was day and night. the vx didnt have much torque but the sh was amazing. You'll get better all around performance, you wont regret it.
