Default Redcat racing volcano EPX pro with lipos?

My wife and i are looking into getting a redcat racing Volcano EPXpro. We are wanting to know how well it holds up to a lipo battery pack and if it would be worth it to stay with the other battery packs?

The epx pro is designed for lipo use. The esc has a build inc cut off for 2S lipos

heck yeah dude. just watch the voltage. and its an 80amp speed control so just think about your amps on that lipo that your thinking about. the mat to find out the amps is Mah multiplied by the "c" rating devided by 1000. so lets ay tou have a 2200 Mah pack with a 25 c rating. it would look like 2200 X 25 / 1000 = 55 amps. the more amps you ave the easier it will be on your equipment.

Resurrecting this thred, I know. My son has a volcano epx pro, and I ran it last weekend on a 3s lipo with the stock ESC, and it seemed just fine. The fan on the ESC wasn't racing either. I used a 4000mah pack. I'm still wondering why redcat says that its only 2s lipo capable.
