Wheel extensions! Bad for truck?
Just curious before I ordered, if 1.5" wheel extensions would be bad on my truck. I'm running a Volcano EPX Pro and wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be putting a lot more stress on something such as my dog bones or motor. I figure that if I'm extending out, then it would make the motor work harder to get the extra distance of rotation for my wheels.
Would I need to purchase longer dog bones?? how would they reach the hub carrier?

RE: Wheel extensions! Bad for truck?
Wheel extensions will make your steering servo work harder, not necessarily your motor (unless you're increasing tire size also). They will also place stress on your outer axle shafts and your hubs.
Whatever extensions you purchase should come with some kind of barrel nut that allows you to fasten them down on the existing axle.
You wouldn't need longer dogbones, as you're extending the wheel only. The hub will remain in the same position, which is why there's now more stress placed on it as the wheel will be hung farther away from it.
