Default Hurricane XTR and Backdraft 3.5

What are the differences between theHurricane XTR and the Backdraft 3.5? As far as I can tell, the Hurricane has a bigger engine, but the Backdraft still goes 5 mph faster because of the 2 speed tranny. Is there any way to upgrade the hurricane for more speed (adding a 2 speed)?
Are there any other differences between the two buggies (size, gearing, etc) to make up for the extra $120? Thanks.
Basically, which is a better buggy, and why.

The hurricane is much faster then the backdraft bigger engine better gears even with the stock the .28 in the hurricane will beat the backdraft 2 speed any day. If you are into racing the hurricane will diffently be a better choice and its mor durabale then the backdraft. Get the hurricane you wont be disponited.
