Whats difference between a 2.4 GHZ transmitter and a FM transmitter? Which goes farther?

The major difference between the two is the 2.4 normally has a faster and cleaner transmission signal.

Iwill never, ever, go back to FM. They are going to pry my 2.4 GHz out of my cold dead hands. Ilove it, no hits, no worries about frequencies, just play time.

So, 2.4 ghz is better, but the FM radios cost more..... :???

It's probably a technology thing.. Since 2.4GHz has come so far, they're becoming more and more affordable, while the FM stuff of yester-year is harder to find and possibly more expensive?? (I dont know if that's the reason or not, just speculating) But I've not heard of any scenarios where an FM radio would be preferred over a 2.4 GHz system..
