RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

im going to pick one up tomorrow. Does anyone know what would cause my rear wheels to be toed in? Nothing is broken

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

just gave a quick once over, its a 5x8 bearing here's a couple of links:

http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...5x8x2.5/Detail

or

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXM766

you will need 3 bearings if you dont use the second link or 2 bearings and the needle bearing in the second link. i would suggest getting 3 bearings,

you will need a 3/16 tension pin cut down to extend the shaft and a larger washer to keep the bell on, neither is a big deal.

hey ehroof have you ever had your rear wheels toe in on you?

ehroof 11-04-2007 09:13 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

do you mean set them up to toe in or have it happen out of no where? your supposed to have a little toe out in the front and a little toe in on the rear.

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

really ok i just noticed thar mine were toed in a bit and couldnt figure our how that happened because there is no adjustment for that in the back. did you read my post about my engine and tranny problems?

Toe in on the rear is good but not too much. It helps keep a better straight line.

I have a fair bit of toe in on the back but there is no way to fix it is there?

not on the rims, you will need 2.2 rims. and btw, the rims with the gladiator tires are a little over 4in.

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

ok thanks man. Im just waiting for the hobby store to get some rims in for me. Are they hard to glue?

ehroof 11-05-2007 07:35 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

nah, just take your time and use a medium ca glue. mount the tire to the rim then pull the tire away and put a dab of glue. Keep doing it a little at a time, you'll be ok.

ok. I just bought a failsafe today. I ordered some parts from red cat and they sent me all of the same part now I have 4 sets of the 2015 lol oh well im sure they will get used up some day. Those tires I showed you do you think they would be a good loose dirt tire?

ehroof 11-05-2007 07:44 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

go with the gladiators, good for loose dirt, just a great all around tire.

eminentguitar 11-05-2007 07:46 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

Yokohama geolanders. Thats all the tire you will ever need. Great all around tire, sticks like glue and wears like steel. I have thes on my Jato and have tried a dozen other tires and none have come close. The Geolanders are awsome. But they are only for 2.2 wheels.

I think there too tall for my tsunami. Can you tell me how tall they are?

LOL, on a side note, Yokohama Geolanders are good truck tires on a real truck too, lol :D

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

They are the same size as the stock ones. About 4" tall but with 2.2 wheels.

eminentguitar 11-06-2007 08:11 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

does it hurt to drive a nitro rc in cold weather and snow?

rclynx 11-08-2007 05:33 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread

Only in you sit in the snow with no pants on:D

If it cold like that you do need to wrap the engine with foil to keep it warm or it will die easly[:-]

eminentguitar 11-08-2007 05:35 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
