i just cut out and made a top plate that goes around the front half of where the gas tank is, and its made of aluminum, i got all holes cut, sanded and smooth enough for me, but i just noticed i dont have any buffing or polishing pads for my dremel, what else could i use, would doin it by hand with a terry towl take forever and would i need alot of pressure or what, i want to get it polished tonight, cuz i have nothing to do, but in the hole on money so cant buy any pads.. Dude thats why you get married and own power tools, so you dont have to use your hands.:) It would take way to long by hand. I have a cloth wheel on my bench grinder.

I can understand that, I think we all have had the apartment experience. Looks like the dremmel is your only option at this point. You could use a finish file, its not as nice of a finish as a buffing wheel, but its nice. Almost looks like a satin finish when your done.
