I do not know why you guys want to put a front bumper. It already has one. If you say it is because the body sticks out in front and gets hit and bent that is because the body is put on wrong from the factory. It is supposed to be notched out in the back to go around the wing mount and then the nose of the body does not stick out. I have a cen matrix body on mine and you can see how the front is and the stock bumper works just like any other truggy out there.

RE: monsoon bumper
Thats exactly it, the body seems to sit too far out. I'm gonna notch out the body so it sits further back.
luckily I didn't put the body post holes in my new body yet ;) |

RE: monsoon bumper
just in case your still interested i just cut the top post to where the posts line up with the old bumper and drilled a hole through the original bumper and the post, then I used some servo screws and screwed the screws through the old bumper into the posts.

Thanks for the answer! However, I think I found A bumper that looks like it will fit where the old bumper is now http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLMZ0&P=7 I ordered it and i'll see if I can fit it. |
RE: monsoon bumper
any time, that looks like it will be awesome:D and just to answer vnmsgt as to why i did the bumper on my truck, I wanted the extra protection in the front I have a metal bird feeder in the middle of my yard and if you don't pay attention it regularly jumps up and bits my trucks [:@] plus the bumper looks cool.

ORIGINAL: vnmsgt PICS! I'll post pics when I am done my project. I decided, since I have to modify the ofna jammin bumper to fit anyways, I might as well build my own. I'm about halfway thorough right now, but Its late, so i'll try to finish it on sunday. I'll post pics when it is done.:D quick question though...how do I post pics? Is there a tutorial or something? |
