Sounds like it may be running lean, try turning the high jet out an 1/8-1/4 turn and see if that helps.

2.5 out is lean I have the VX.18 motor and mine is set at 3 1/4 out you need to richen it up.

if the pitch of the engine doesnt go up, like max rpm's you may need to lean it a little. do it 1/8 turns at a time and run it around before you adjust it more.

thats funny. the manul says 2.5 to break it in and then lean it out. i have read many things that say 2.5-3 for brake in. theres lots of smoke and little bit of oil comeing out the exsaust

Ok i haven't got this break in thing either.... so when you do these 5 tanks... on each tank you just do some figure 8's being gentle on the throttle untill the next tank and so on, then when thats done you can tune and let er rip..???

RE: buggy problems

thats pretty much it in a nutshell, you use the throttle a little more on each tank. let it cool between tanks with the piston on the bottom of the cylinder when cooling, its also a good habbit to get into doing, leaving it at the bottom when its hot and not being used.
