Stepping down for a while
 

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that i am stepping down as "official" forum support. I am sure most of you have seen the events of the past few days with me and other members of rcu. I just dont feel it is right to try to do official support and behave in a proper way as long as this is going on and after all the events of the past few months in my personal life, i need to focus some time on my wife, not that i havent but i want to more and start to get my own business back to the state it was in before my wife got sick.

I hope i did a good job as official forum support for you guys and was able to help you out and enjoy the hobby and get you going when you were having difficulties. Please pm or email me if you ever need any help and i am sure i will be around just not in the same capacity as i was before.

Ed, as myself and everyone else knows, YOU ARE THE MAN!!! We have all greatly appreciated the help you have provided for us all. I sincerely wish you and your family the very best.

It's was you that got me to Redcats and I can't thank you enough for that, and I understand that you need more time with your wife, your job heck your whole life, and I know that you are a part of this family as well, there is no one that knows more about RC's then you, you are the guru of RC's and I would really hate to see you leave, I wish you the best of luck in your quest and hope to see you on here again. Good luck ehroof you are a great asset to Redcat.

I'd like to thank Eddie for all his help. He has helped me so many times. He also got me started in Redcat, that is going to save me lots of money. I can't really thank you enough. You have done everything possible to help and I'm sure you'll help more.

Eddie,
When i bought my exceed 1/10 nitro buggy you helped me incredibly and actually turned me on to this site, also you were the inspiration for me buying my Ultrawide. You are definately the "YODA" of this site and I think Redcat owes you alot for your support and help promoting their product. I think you have helped Redcat become what they are today, amd speeking from my heart you will be missed. You are the encyclopedia of knowledge for this site and the "go to" man for anything on here. We would be selfish to try and convince you to say, what is important in life is the health and welfare of YOUR family and if you have to step down to concentrate on that, then so be it.

First off Ed:
I hope you slept on this and decided about not totally leaving the forum
No one expects anyone(who is not a paid employee of Redcat LOL) to man this forum 24/7
We all appreciate all you have done for people(especially us newbies to the sport)Last year I was clueless,this year I can fix anything on a rc car
I know/we know ...about your wife and I compliment you on what you have done for her and how much you love her
I know what it is to run your own business(been there,done that),so to put down the mouse is totally acceptable --BUT that does not say you can't come in here a few times a day and fly out answers
I did not follow the thread with your problem,but will go on to say-this was unacceptable for someone to do,more especially to someone like you
So ED--what you say??stay in here,we all need you.

Like everyone else has said, you have been a great help. Anytime I have had a question you have been there to help me, as well as others. I hope we still get to chat with you everyone once in a while. Have fun, be safe, and always bash hard. Thanks bro.

I hate to sound like all the rest, but you have no idea how much you have helped all of us. I read alot of posts and one thing for sure is that ehroof would take his time and answer a question that has been asked millions of time before! How many of us can say we do the same. I read about your wife and will would like to say a prayer for you and yours if you have no objections to. Your knowledge is infinite!!! Take care and peace be with you!!

WOW. I didn't see this coming...................kind of feeling abandoned a bit. I will say one thing ehroof you know you stuff inside out with very few people that can match your experience. However you need to do what's best for you and your family. If you ever decide to start and R/C forum or chat site drop us a line. I'm sure you will get about 95% of the members on this site visiting daily.

I am personally very sorry to see Ed take a break but GOD knows he needs one. With all the stuff that has happened in his life over the last few months he really needs one. He has been wonderful to me and Redcat. Totally a joy to work with and his comments, help on the forums and recommendations are priceless to me. I have received numerous emails from many of you about how much he has helped you and he was the reason you decided to give Redcat a try. It is very hard to find someone so dedicated and willing to promote a company for nothing in return and though I will still talk to him, I respect his decision.

I am sure Ed will still be around but maybe not in the capacity he was on the Redcat forums, so I am sure he won't totally just dissapear and I really don't think he can. :)

you will be greatly missed!! I have only been on this forum for a couple months, but have learned a lot from your posts.

Hope you will still be around occasionally to answer some questions.

The Redcat Forum feels like family to me.
