Running HOT

I was just out running and my volcano was running pretty fast but hit 304 and I was wondering what might be the problem. My low and high speed were set just like uasual and it seemed fine but I don't know if I may have had an air leak or what can someone help me out plz?

running that hot on that little .18 will cause damage. Either your high end is too lean or you do have an air leak. Check your tank and your lines.

you cant just leave your settings all the time. your motor will change if the tempature out side is different or humitity. it might have a problem but i just think you need to retune it;)

I had a crack in my fuel tank before. I found it by taking the tank off and puting it in water and blowing through one of the hoses while plugging the other. Nice little hair line crack that I would have never found!

RE: Running HOT

did that make your truck run that hot?

RoadBurner 03-24-2008 09:12 PM

RE: Running HOT

Yes, it ran lean, the crack was on top and as soon as the fuel went down a bit the pressure from the exaust was leaking out the hole causing low fuel pressure and lean running, I never ran it hot I usually just adjusted the carb to bandaid the problem until I got sick of tuning it all the time.
