I think you can make anything work. Add more power by going up to a .52 or .60, drill some holes.

There are no limits in Spad. I think the tough time will be figuring out how to get the front part of the wing over this size tube without getting a huge cord change. Well unless thats ok with you.

Sounds heavy, how much does it weigh? It's 2.5" wide, but how tall are the sides?

You could swiss cheese it up real good to get the weight down. It will work. Anything will work. Just try to keep the weight down.

Swiss it up and make it per plans, except increase your wings to 34" make a motor mount to fit in the channell.

I think it will be cool

Thanks William, but what do you mean by swissing it up[].
So I should add two more inches of wing, is that correct?

Thanks Marcelo

He means that you need to use a hole saw to cut multiple holes in the sides of the channel, so it looks like Swiss Cheese.

Yeah,

Cut lots of holes. Sides and bottom.
As fars increasing wing span, bigger is better. Remember, a two inch increase in WS=36-38 sq " in wing area. More weight means you need more wing area. 36" with a 32" fuse would probably work, that's 72-76" more sq".

Here's what you do,
.5. make your plane 36" wing span
1. Make more and bigger holes in the rear of the fuse.
2. Make your motor mount long enough to mount your engine with your tank on it right behind the engine, thus giving you an x-tra 2" fuse length (approx).
3. butt your wing up to the engine mount.
4. If you have access to a drill press' run your middle music wire through your fuse appx 2" back from the plans (see spa3dt update)
5. Use your servos and battery to achieve proper balance at 6" (to start) from the LE.
6. If wou end up with a weight problem from from the larger channell' this should help. What you are trying to do is increase the wing area to make up for the weight and get the plane to balance.
7. Use 5/32 mw for your LG. with ultra light foam wheels and do'nt put a tailwheel on. Instead' use a skid made of pvc judt like you make the horns.
8. You might even make some 45 degree brackets out of the pvc to mount your rudder in the center of the channell. (or how about 1/4" nylon bolts through the channell screwed into the flutes)

It will work.
Just remember save weight where you can and think about the placement of your radio equipment for balance.

My father just moved back to the states, he was living in Jaco (I think that's how you spell it) lost all his money when the governmant closed down the brothers. From what I've heard, Costa Rica is a place I should visit. He said It's My Style.

Let me know if you need more help' I'm here
