Default hard lesson learned

After only 4 flights with my new spad my engine quit on me and in an unsuccessful dead stick landing this is what happens when you use steel bolts on your landing gear. Next time I will only use nylon bolts on my gear.

I have made a Y shaped rig that uses a rubber band like a shock absorber. Run picture frame wire from one axile to the other, then run a short wire from the nose of the plane, use a rubber band doubled to connect the nose wire to the axile wire. Works for me.

I have also added a hinge to the previous rig. If the landing is hard, my landing gear can aborb without bending.
