Default Has anyone bought from spadflyer.com?

They are a relatively new outfit. They have an 'ARF' for 33 bucks... I figured I'd give it a shot, has anyone else?. http://www.spadflyer.com

Frost,

I didn't buy the kit but I have purchased several individual items from them. I used their wing with my own fuse for a plane and bought one of their fueses (40" gutter pipe) to go with a wing that I am building. I also bought some firewalls because I don't like making them myself. Both orders that I placed were sent right away and well packaged.

Well mine is supposed to arrive in a day or two (quite fast) and I will try to get some pics up for folks to see.

What did you think of their wing(s)?

I bought the SpadFlyer kit (48" ws, 40" fuse) last year. The wing, fuse and tail components were all pre-made, all I had to do was assemble it and put in the controls. Kit was very complete - all it needed were servos, motor, reciever, control rods, and wheels (I also added a Drubro tail wheel). The plane is great for training and will also do some mild aerobatics - rolls, loops, inverted. Flys great. I used a K&B .45 Sportster so it has some power. Highly recomend the product - was shipped fast and well packed.

A buddy of mine had one their planes and it was a very well designed kit. It flew great and was a great trainer. A equipment malfuntion sent it into a ditch but still it is a great flyer and one hell of a deal.

I fly with the guy who sent you the semi-symmetrical wing here in Oklahoma. I had him buy one through you for me so my wife wouldn't find out i bought another plane. so far she hasn't noticed it sitting on my work table.

Just thought I'd pop in since it appears the SPADFlyer owner watches

I was going to order from you, and asked lots of questions, still may eventually but money ran out, and then a kind spadder from CA sent me all the fixings for a Debonair, an SPADStick, and an engine. I Am assembling slowly, see my thread on it.

Anyhow, didnt want oyu to think I was a flake qnd just vanishing on you!

Adui,

I'm glad you are getting going. The way you do it isn't important, as long as you start. Happy building and flying.

I'll have to echo all the favorable comments. Great guy to talk to; lets of free advice/information; very reasonable prices on a great product; and quick shipping. What more could you want? Thanks; Ernie P.
