Default Split coro idea

I thought about splitting coro for a parkflyer/slow flyer wing. I was going to run the flutes spanwise, split the sheet, slip in the spar and a couple of rough former of coro then glue it back together for a small, light wing. Never have gotten around to it yet.

This sounds interesting...I've never tried it, but I know there was a guy about 4 years ago who reported success lightening 4mm coro wings by "shaving" bays like this on the inside surface of his wings.

I have on a couple of different planes.
Anytime the fuselage is curved, i split the coro, and remove the flute. This makes a nice easy bending surface.

Here's a pic of the corocap, and thats exactly how i did it.

Thanks, Tank (is the same Tank that we used to play CFS with?) It was a labor of love, not to be repeated anytime soon. Scale planes, while pretty, are a huge pain, but, everybody ought to build one. lol.
