cheap wire pushrods
Stumbled on this at Home Depot one day and been meaning to share it. I bought a 100 count bundle of landscaping flags - the little colored ones you see on jobsites - for $5.00.
They make excellent pushrods / reinforcing wires, etc. I recommend running them through a tube or coro, but otherwise I haven't had any problems with them at all
Just an FYI

The flags work great, but tend to crack when I use the z-bend pliers. I've had better luck by heating the wire(anealing sp?), 1st let it cool, then z-bend it.
