Default New Combat Flyers

I just started an HOR this weekend and 3 other guys at our outlaw field are building as well. We all bought OA15 LA's and 8x4 props. We are all using 4 mil for the wings because that was what we had on hand. Will it be too heavy? I haven't fooled with spads in a few years built a Deb 40 and 60 size and a QHOR. They sure build fast. We are going to fly combat and maybe some short course pylon racing with them.

Welcome back to spads RVator! that sure sounds fun! The 4 mil with the 15's might be too heavy. now the gnat uses a 4 mill wing with a 15 but it has lighter wing loading. maybe you could put holes in the 4 mil and cover them with vinyl to reduce the wieght. built some spads and have some fun!!
