Well she flew[X(]......very 1930's scale....
put her on the scales after the 1st flight and she was 7.2 kgs (15.8 lbs) [:-] Under powered!!! needs reproping or a 50cc[>:] this photo is a pic of the sliding deck cover that fills in the old wing cutout. just 4 strips of 90 deg edging, slide the back section in 1st then the front in 2nd then tuck the end of the front section into the rear rails...simple and acess is quick.. unbolting the top wing I found that I left one of the struts unbolted......OOps |

Did some work on her today.. New prop 18x6 (the old one was 16x8) ran the engine, after last weeks long run she re-sponded to the tuning much better, no more stumbling at idle. lost 600RPM with this prop and a lot more pull...
As for the glide like a brick with no power, modified the horizontal stab, added 110mm to the ends. Just wish the wind will drop, Its been over 20 kts and gusting to 30 for the last 3 days. |

RE: New bird
Hi jaav
Nice videos. Flying in high wind can be a lot of fun. Since landings can be a problem, I usually make many of them each flight. If one landing is particularly difficult, frequently I will take it up immediately again to keep my fear from overpowering me. |
