I'm looking forward to the 2012 SAM Warbird Racing Season. Here is my entry for next year's Silver class races. This is a Hangar 9 Corsair50 ARF that I'm modifying into the #1 Budlight Super Corsair. I've clipped the wings, modded the firewall for a YS110, strengthened the horizontal tail and wing, added trailing edge wing fillets, etc. I need to strengthen the vertical tail, add the retracts, and vacuum form a new canopy (stock F4U canopy not correct for scale). Then it is just a matter of recovering the airplane and paint it to match the real thing. I've enjoyed being a spectator too long, now it is time to join in the fun.

Wow, thats going to be a nice airplane! Can't wait to race against it! Keep us posted on the progress. I would love to see pictures of it coming along.

Yes, I will be tagging along with the Redding gang. No, I'm not one of the "Old Timers", but I do know what you are talking about when it comes to Warren Field.

So What happened to the Two Minute Tango? Anybody know why it got axed?

Tango not axed. The CD "Super K" had a lot of stuff going on this year and decided to take a year off from running the race. He has plans to run it next year.
