Aircraft Paint Jobs & Copyrights?
Just about done with one of my race birds, and was wondering if anyone knew the ins & outs of "legal" paint (covering) schemes. Where this comes from is I've been wanting to do a "Red Bull" covering job & decals, and since I'm not replicating any particular aircraft, will anybody make a fuss about it? This also goes for any manufacture - Coke, Pepsi, Coors, Etc. Any thoughts before I start? Thanks, Chris.

RE: Aircraft Paint Jobs & Copyrights?
A while back I remember reading of kit makers getting cease and desist letters primarily from Lockheed from copyright infraction. I would guess as long as you are just doing them for yourself and not selling registered trademarked images or the like there wouldn't be an issue.
One would think following Alice Cooper's line of reasoning that any publicity is good.
