Tucson Warbird Race

Speed,
I too dont like the down time between races. Thats why it is so nice to have both RCPRO and SAMs events to go to . The RCPRO group in Tucson usually has a race in Dec and then again in the very beginning of the year. It fills the need for speed quite nicely. I know its a drive for you guys but you should really think about making one of their races. They do a great job and the weather is usually perfect.

Great racing at Tucson, even if it was bitterly cold early. It warmed up nicely. Look what the E-Racers had to do with their batteries (see pic)
Now thats when you know it is cold!! Yes they are actually on a hot plate.
Great Racing Chris.
Congrats to Dean Childs (Gomez) he is our local SUPRA , RCPRO World Champion in bronze!!

Just wanted to thank the guys in Tucson for putting on another great race event. Looking forward to the race in February. We appreciate all of the people who give up the time it takes to help put on the event and wanted to thank them.

Speed,
just to clarify, this the KI I was flying , not a Stiletto. Dont know if that makes a difference? I hope you are installing a YS in your plane this year, seems I heard a rumor that you were. Looking forward to seeing you in April.

Thanks Marty, I'm at 15" so it's all good. Yes I am going YS this coming season. Just shot the first coat of primer on the fuse plug today so I will be ready to start work on the mold in about a week. The wings are pretty much done and I am finishing up on the retract install. Next will be glassing the wing and tail. I think this is going to be my best effort yet. Once the plug has a gloss red finish I will post some pictures.
