My new Racing Bipe take a look
Please tell me what you think, I have not test flown it yet. Sorceress is the name of the plane, It was made from a jerry Bradley fuse mold and rankin Racing design planes,It has a Fred French tuned 445 on alki, and a Futaba radio gear.

it is not a cobra, it is a Sorceress. but it and the cobra/sundancer raced in the same era, but the cobra/sundancer was faster,and had a gulled top wing as well as a gulled lower wing. not sure what the Sorceress was modeled after , but the cobra/sundancer was a modified midget mustang.

looks more like a sundancer on steroids to me... wow 170+ huh, the bipe class has really been getting faster since we have left USRA, and im sure everything has...nice lookin ship, hope it wins u some championships

My oh my, that brings back memories. I think it was 1985 or 86. We were having a CL Combat meet at a small airport near Davenport, IA (Quad Cities), and sometime during the afternoon, I noticed this odd looking little airplane landing and taxiing over to the parking apron. I went over and had a look - beautiful polished metal, TINY, short stubby wings, the pilot didn't want us to touch it with our oily hands..
Yup, it was the Sorceress, on her last cross-country flight. She was being taken to the Smithsonian, and last I heard, was in the Garber Restoration Facility.
I still have the pictures, somewhere. The feature I was most interested in was the plexiglass tip plates. My guess was they were there to reduce tip spillage on those short wings.
