I never understood why RCU won't let a thread starter close his own thead.

I built half of one, but I could never find a cowl for it. I tried making a fibreglass mold for the cowl, but it didn't work out. Trying to make a cowl was a project in itself and wore me out.

The dimensions on the plans are in inches, not cm. So way too big for 049.

I would try Mark Rittinger's P-51 Python, ws = 29". Easier to build and flies well. Its designed for electrics, but I'm sure a glow engine could work. Best of all, its simple construction. No glass cowl required. I found the plans at: www.willingtons.com/mymac/Plans_Download.htm
