Just got my strega from tower for use in our local club racing curcuit and hoping to get the the warbird races in Hesperia, and Kingman. What mods need to be done if I am running a TT Pro 46 in it??

You need to cut open the wings and reinforce the landing gear blocks. Other than that build it according to plans and fly the heck out of it. My Strega has a TT PRO 61 and tuned pipe on it and I am running well in Silver and that is all I did to mine. Now Gold is another story. The orange that PM uses on the Strega in only a match with the Oracote orange 877 that Horizon Hobbies has.

You shouldn't need to do any mods. The landing gear blocks that Barry spoke of are a weak point but will last for quite a while if you take it easy on landings. I usually wait until it gets loose before I mess with them. It's not a bad ideal to reinforce them if you don't mind a small patch on the top of the wing.

Un fortunately if you wait till the blocks get loose it always happens on race day when they break and they are easier to reinforce before they break and a pain in the $%&^% to fix between heats at a race. JMNSHO!

I agree Barry I absolutely hate to have to work on a plane at the field. I couldn't find the articles about strega at that other sight.

If not, I have one rtf with only one race on it.
I flew it at your field first race of the year. Had the tail crack when someone walked out to retrieve another down plane just as I was touching down so I lifted it to avoid hitting him, and with out speed these are junk on the controls. I fixed it and flew it and it is perfectly fine, probably better cause the back ends are a weak spot anyway.
I can bring it if youd like it. It has a 2.4 rx and bind it as all needed.

I did get another plane ready to fly, however, my presence will be required at my lovely wifes family reunion this saturday. I would much rather be at the races thinking about the reunion but unfortunently I will be at the reunion thinking about the race. I do appreicate the help that you have given me at past races.
