There are getting quite a few out there now.
From my experience the Align ones are the best, eBay is a good source but any good model shop has them now.
The EC-135 is awesome and easy to assemble,
Gary.

The Align fuses will make a darn nice scaler with a little effort... [8D]

Does anyone know of a kit that will fit the blade 400 I would love to buy a scale for it.

RE: scale body

The blade is basically the same size as the trex so any body that fits a 450 should also fit your 400.

Hi my son asking about where to get a Cobro scale body for his trex 450, I was wondering if any one had tryed puting the new cobro body for Thunder Tiger 325 on a trex 450, will it work.
Ive read in another forum that the 325 Cobra will not fit, something about the tailboom sits about an inch higher than the T-rex.
if you do notice the MT325 Cobra isnt exactly scale.
I run an electric tailmotor in my elevated tail bodies and with this , Im limitless as to where I can place my tailrotor. When going scale, you should expect to do some mods depending on the body style youre seeking. On my elevated tail bodies, I usually remove the stock tailboom, belt and all thats associated with the taildrive and i then install an electric tailmotor to drive the tailrotor.

I do two versions of the cobra, one is the Marines version and the other is the Army version. Personally I like the Army version better (I was in the Army and served as a Helicopter repairer) My Army version is about 20-30% bigger and will accomodate all 450 size helis but for the elevated tail, I do recommend removing the tailboom and go electric tailmotor which I think would be easier than doing a mechanical elevated belt drive tailrotor. There is a mechanical elevated tail drive system available for the T-rex but I have not purchased one and I dont know much about it. I switch scale bodies so often sometimes (depends on what I feel like flying) that each helis elevated tail rotor is in a different location. The mechanical belt drive elevated tail drive unit is not a one size fits all for scale applications.

Darth,
I noticed that the weight for some of the fuselages are in the 100g+ range. Do you need to upgrade the motors?
Do you have or plan a civilian version of the A109? I really like the gear retracting into the fuse

I fly all my fuselages with the most common standard setups. You dont have to use any special or bigger battery packs or any special motors to fly my bodies. The fuselages are light weight and the fly really well on most standard 450 size helis and power systems.

As far as the A109 I do have one. I just put my Belt CP inside of one. I dont do retracts on many of my models, I myself try to keep it simple basically to show a person can still have a nice looking scale heli without investing alot of time and money. The landing gear on my 109 is fixed but the nose wheel does caster to allow for ground taxing .

I have thunder tiger raptor 50 size heli. I'm thinking of getting the ecureuil fusalage. Anyone have one? I wanted to get feedback on the fusalage before I spent the money. Does it look as good on the heli as they make it look in the video or pics? How much detail is there? Also, can you put flight marker, landing and strobe lights on this fusalage? I know it's not a $1000 fusalage, but I don't want to get it if it looks cheap. Can someone help me make up my mind? Thanks

RE: scale body

The TT Twinstar is a nice fuse. The materials quality is pretty good, it's a bolt on for the Raptor, and the skids look pretty scale. You will need a Titan boom and belt if your Raptor is not a Titan. Adding nav lights is no problem...

I'm not so excited about the factory paint... ugly, IMHO. A repaint does wonders for the appearance.

I built this one for a friend:
