I realized today that i really dont think i have been hitting my 3rd gear until yesterday. I live off a highway and when the traffic is low i run it down the straight away and yesterday i went the farthest as of yet and made a high speed pass. Now you guys were right about it probably being too lean for 3rd gear and thats why it was bogging in 3rd gear. Now the question i have is that when the truck is hitting 3rd gear , the engine RPM's slack off and the sound deepens , no where near like before when it sounded like the engine was choking. Should the revs stay high through 3rd or do they have to climb since its a tall gear ?
