Default Building Question

Hi everyone, first off I am not building anything to fly. I am building from scratch a world war I zeppelin. It is more for looks and for a game that my son and I play. I am at a point with it that I want to cover my frame. I am going to use a monokote product for the covering. I am looking for a flat grey but have not found the right shade or it is too glossy. Can you paint the monokote and it not peel it off? I remember my dad covering wings of his planes with it I just dont recall if he ever painted it too. Thanks for any and all help with this.

Mike
