Default Engine offset

Hello, I am building a ultra stick 120 from a short kit and am about to set the firewall. I am planing on going with the standard 2 deg down and 2 deg right engine offset. The engine will be either a G26 or a DLE 30. Can anybody provide a rational for not doing this.

Thanks, Allen

Allen, I set all my 50cc powered, 20 pound planes with no engine offset, no wing incidence or washout and no horizontal stab incidence. They all fly straight and level with only a click or two of trim. There is no logic behind this except extensive experience. If you want, I’ll post some images of the models. Dan.

No pics necessary, just looking for a general consensus. Some of my planes have offset and others don't, just not sure what the determining factor is for putting it in. Thanks.
