I like Lone Star Balsa. www.lonestar-models.com You can order on line or call them. They've treated me good and the wood selection has been decent. Make sure you know what you want before you order, just makes it easier. [&:]

I buy my wood from Balsa USA. Never had any qualms with the service or the product. I've never used Lone Star or Superior but I've heard nothing but good things about them as well.

I'd have to vote for BalsaUSA. They have the best quality for the price that I've seen. Their prices on balsa and other wood is very low, and the quality is high. BalsaUSA doesn't have a minimum order price like Lone Star or Superior Balsa (those 2 places have $25 minimums on wood orders). I'm sure those are good places, but sometimes you don't need $200 worth of wood. Something to keep in mind.

Sig is good also because they have a wider selection of wood than other places. I think Sig's prices may be a little higher than BalsaUSA for some stuff, but they also do not have a minimum order price so you can buy only what you need.

I've heard good things about Katmar Products. Wood quality is supposed to be excellent.

The nice lady who runs it, Kathleen, is Fred Dunn's wife. Fred is the designer of the Astro Hog.

Fred is stricken with Alzeheimer's disease. All the procedes from sales go to Fred's treatment.

Thanks for all the info. I have used Lone Star in past and never had any problem, but I wanted to get a feel for others. Seems like Lone Star, Balsa USA, & Superior are all on a same plane. Prices are all with in pennies. Good info to have. I put an order in with Lone Star, based on past expereience, and he also had 6" wide sheets that are 54" long. I am going to be sheeting 50" wing cores.
Thanks
