#11 blade sharpener?
At the WRAM show there was a man that was selling a diamond hone for #11 hobby knife blades and other cutting knifes. Does anyone know if they have a website or a phone number? I am finding that even new blades are not as sharp as they could be and would like to get one..

I'm sure it's nice but you don't need diamonds. A white or super fine arkansa stone or a 1200 grit japanese water stone will do a nice job of reshaping worn blades in a flash. From there, or for new blades that are not sharp engough you hone them on a strip of leather glued to a stick. Charge the leather with a smear of the white autobody polishing compound and it'll produce a mirror shine on that edge that'll shave the hairs off the back of your hand and you won't feel a thing. And all that stuff is easily available.
I hear that the Xacto product is really going downhill these days. Check with some graphics art or artist supply outlets in your area for bulk packs of the #11 blades. I'm still working on a box of 100 that I got from Tower about 2 decades ago. But I tend to sharpen them about 6 to 8 times before they are toast so they last a long time. Fresh from the box they are nicely sharp

I use a system similar to this:
http://www.aspenclassifieds.com/shop...acturer=Lansky
except mine doesn't fold up.

Bruce, You need to try a diamond hone. It's much better and faster than the Arkansa stone. I have both. Try Harbor Fright for a good deal on the hones.
Yeah I know it's supposed to be spelled Freight.

I am lookinf for the unit the guy at the WRAP show was elling. It automatically holds the proper angle of the blade and works with a few swipes.
He sells all cutting related products and was probably at Toleto
