I have been working up a set of CAD plans for a Model D Gee Bee and am in the process of building a second prototype.
It is built around a speed 480 E-Flite outrunner motor with a 2000ma battery. 43 inch wingspan shooting for 30 oz
The first prototype is completed exept for paint and I have started the second one to clean up some of the areas that needed weight reduction.
A short kit can be purchased from Top Notch Hobbies for 60.00

The Model D is one of the lesser known Granville Brothers creations and with only one built it has not been over built.
I hope to have the plans available thru Model Airplane News soon but if not I will make arrangements to provide them to anyone wishing to build.
It is a balsa/ply electric built around the Speed 450 to 480 outrunners that are popular right now.
Construction is started the old fashioned way of building a left and right fuselage. Frames F-3, F-4, the battery compartment floor and wing hold down are tabbed into the sides prior to joing the two halves.
