RITZ AIRFOIL COORDINATES
Hi,
Anybody knows of any website that may have the Ritz airfoil coordinates??
I am particularly interested in the Ritz 1-30-12 and Ritz 1-30-15
Thanks
Reuben

Thanks B.S.
Will check Profili again. If I remember well, Profili did not have .dat files but a different file extension. Could be wrong so I will check again.
Meanwhile, I thank you for your contribution.

RE: RITZ AIRFOIL COORDINATES
I can help you. Have the cordinates for the Ritz 1-30-12, but not for the 1-30-15. I do have the cordinates for the 2-30-15 however.
They are on an old piece of paper dated 1961, and will need to be transposed before they can be made available.

RE: RITZ AIRFOIL COORDINATES
Bob,
Ritz airfoils are airfoil type similar to N.A.C.A. ones. I was reading that they have been used in model jets to very good effect and since I did not have the coordinates I wanted to have a look at the airfoil profile. There are many other types of airfoils such as the MH (Martin Hepperle) foils that have been used succesfully in modelling too
This does not mean that other airfoils are less important and one has to view at the type of application to be used and the Reynolds numbers associated with various types of airfoils.
This is just a sketchy information and if you go to another section of RCU I am sure you can find more detailed explanations.
Thanks for your contribution.

RE: RITZ AIRFOIL COORDINATES
Hi Bob,
If you are going to check, can you please confirm to me whether the above mentioned Ritz airfoil exists in .dat file extension. I dont have Profili but I have Compufoil 3D and the said airfoil profile does not exist in latter program.
Thanks
Reuben

Yes, the 1-30-12 and the 1-30-15 are both in the Profili database
