RE: Anyone for hire?
You'll need a lot more info than just the 3 view if you expect a reasonable scale design. Fuselage cross sections and airfoil being the two biggies. With some pictures the designer could guess at the shape which would be fine for "stand back and squint" scale but it wouldn't be up to any sort of contest caliber without more documentation of stuff like that.
But if you're just looking for a "that looks about right" sort of model then it'll be a lot easier.

Hi, Flying wire: Ditto on BMatthews.
How different are the various AirTractor models?? is a 401B similar to the 500's??
with more info, it can be drawn......but I remember some outfit in New Zealand that specializes
in Ag Aircraft, and there are 'plans' for some of the other models, if you could start from there??
ex: http://www.teamduster.com/
you got access to an aircraft you can photograph extensively??? Got picts from Bob's or from the manufacturer???
Do more legwork......I could be interested.[8D]
Cute plane! the AT 401B.
ummm, 1/4 scale is 12.5 foot wingspan!![X(]

Hello,
Thanks to all for the input to this process. I spoke with Hollis at Team Duster today, I'm awaiting the measurement from the firewall to the front of landing gear legs to convert the AT502 plans to AT401. Will build the 1/5 scale first, then look at possibly building one at 1/4 scale.

RE: Anyone for hire?
Glad to help!
by firewall do you mean the real firewall, the model's firewall, or that seam on the real aircraft directly in front of the landing gear?
looking at Air Tractor's own web page, the 401B looks like it is slightly smaller than the 502!
The extra panel (2'?) in front of the tail feathers is the biggest difference.( besides the fan up front!)
Others: taller landing gear, taller rudder and fin, 11' of wingspan.
Hat's still in if you need help, FA[8D]

Hello Flying Wires.
Have you thought about learning to draw your own set of plans? Dave Platt has a video tutorial series called "Scratch This" and he shows you step-by-step how to design your own plans from a three-view. Its really not all that difficult once you see the basics of it. You can check them out at www.daveplattmodels.com.
Dave Platt also has many other video tutorials available that cover a wide range of subjects. They are all worth their weight in gold!
