Default Edge 540 Plans

Hi here are a few photos of plans I have been drawing for a 69" Edge 540. Figured I could put them on here to get peoples opinons and to find any unseen problems from those who have built their own design before. Planning on using a Thunder Tiger 1.20 2-stroke for a motor.
Also does anyone know where I can get plans plotted cause kinkos here in canada does not seem to helpfull.

Nice looking plans. Try a drafting or blueprinting places. They should be able to help you out. Or, at least, point you in the right direction.

Default Edge 540 Plans

Just done my edge and got the parts laser cut. one thing i can tell you is that the top and bottom spar in the ribs should be at the same distance for all the ribs from the LE otherwise your wing will not have a st LE but will be tapered back like that of an extra 300 and you will have to push and pull to get it right which could end up damaging the ribs and wing

Also for the ribs u could have the ht spacers in the front too to get the wing just right

chk out http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread.php?s=&forumid=58&postid=625533
All the best
Cheers

rikhye, I kept the LE streight but tappered the spars foward instead. My theory was this way I could keep the spar as close as possible to the center of pressure created from the lift for each rib. This way the spar would be located were most of the stress would be acting on the wing so then the ribs wouldnt have to distribute as much load and there would be less of a twisting momenton the spar. I could be wrong though.
