WHAT IS THE METHOD
In order to plug a wing extention into the main body of your creation, I have elected to use glass bolts from a crossbow. They are a little larger in diameter that a standard arrow. The receiving side is a 1/8" plywood box wrapped around the 6" - 8" of shaft.
Upper & lower.
I have considered using a bolt going thru the bottom and into the receiving shaft.
I have considered using an adhesive tape on top of the MONOKOTE.
Suggestions, please

RE: WHAT IS THE METHOD
How hard will you be stunting this thing? If it was me I'd use the shafts as locators but I'd have put upper and lower tabs from the center section spars extending out into the outer section spars and then used shear bolts down through the joint. This would handle the loads out at the extreme surfaces and also attach the tip panels all at the same time.
With the ability to bend I think you'll find that any tape just pulls away. EIther that or the tape will provide the spar tie in if it's strong enough and sticky enough.
