Default Float Flying

Did some float flying from my backyard today. It's been a while since I've had the old plane out! If you look close, you can see a full size Maule M7-235B Super Rocket across the lake.

35 years ago I lived on Lake Orienta.  Would that be THIS lake in your back yard?

Thanks "scale only 4 me". My Dad used to take me to this lake when I was a kid then they built houses all around it so we couldn't go there anymore since there's no public boat ramp. I found a house for sale on the corner and everything worked out to where my wife and I could buy it! It's an actual seaplane base AirNav 3FD9. Jim Casey, good guess! But it's actually Prairie Lake, located about 1.5 miles East of Lake Orienta. I did go to Lake Orienta Elementary school though ;-). I was thinking of organizing a float fly one of these days from my backyard if anyone would be interested.

Jim, thanks for the invite! I believe I was there about 10 years ago on a Saturday when I first built my plane. My wife got video of the day and we had a lot of fun there. I believe it was in Dover. We'll have to try and make it there before the end of the year.

Scale, sounds like you have a lot of cool planes. I'll have to check them out in the old threads!
