Hanger 9 60 size Ultra Stick
Would this be a good float plane? I plan on putting a Saito 100 on it. Will this airplane be aerobatic? Which floats should I go with Arf?(fiberglass with semi v)
Thanks ahead of time

1. Yep
2. Yep.
3. I don't think there are ARF floats offered in the size you need. A plane that big probably needs 40-45" floats, . "seaplane" in this forum makes foam floats, and I do too. His website is http://www.geocities.com/planefunfloats/. My website is down. You could probably persuade somebody to make you a set of finished Floats. This would be a job for private email.

I have the same plane in the box. I'm interested to hear how you come out. I've always loved sticks and this summer at our fun fly I was able to wring out a friends US60. It flys great.
Since the sticks have a pretty flat fuselage, just get another set of alum. main gear from H9, glue in a mount block in the rear of your fuse to mount it to, and there you have your float mounts. I don't have the links, but they've been listed here in the Seaplane forum for float design and mounting. There's some great sites and you will get all the info you need.
Sounds like a nice project. I don't think you can go wrong with this plane. Let us know how it comes out and maybe post some pics if you can.
