RE: PBY Plans
Has anyone built a model from Cleveland plans? Comments?
I guess they just scale one set of drawings, up to a 1/4 scale.
A 1/4 scale PBY is 26' wingspan, more like a homebuilt kitplane than a model. An RV-4 has a 23' wingspan by contrast.

RE: PBY Plans
Yup, the quarter scale PBY from Cleveland has a 312" wing span. I will be building the 1/24 model with a 52" wingspan using electric morors. Building from plans should be done after a few kits are under your belt. Because plans don't have any directions on them you have to be able plan way ahead so you don't build yourself into a corner.
