Here's a picture of our club's lake. It lies about 600-700' away from our regular grass strip and is almost never used (so far). It's part of our property rental and strictly for our use (a great deal for sure).

RE: Post pix of your preferred seaplane flying field (lakes...)
The wife & I work & live for the most part in Chicago. But when she retires we're moving up to our house Up North in WI. Its on Spider Lake in Mercer. I'm building a Donald 4 Seaplane, which I'm just itching to fly off the lake. I'll probably try it on the lake when it freezes over this winter. But still really itching to fly it off the open water. Its a 350 (aprx) acre lake. Some mornings, and b4 the sun goes down its like glass Here's a couple of pics 4 now. I do have better ones, but I have about 300 pics of our house up there and I just "sifted" through. The first is of our dock, the second when the suns going down. There used to be a guy who lived on the lake with a full scale seaplane, a Beaver I believe. It was totaly awesome watching him take off and land

Thanks for your pix ! You lucky guys !
I've been informed that there's a lake not too far away from my house, with absolutely no winter/summer activities (boating, sailing, water skiing, beaches...), but, guess what, it has been spoilt by radioactive stuff [X(] !!!!
I think I'll have to drive at least 1 hour and a half if I want to fly any seaplane , and it's not even sure that some people won't get angry at me 'cause of noise ! Grrr...
